Bleachers & Green Monster Seats — Fenway Park
No poles out here — the trade-off is distance, and the Wall hides the warning track.
The center-field Bleachers and the seats on top of the Green Monster have no roof and no support columns, so the classic Fenway obstruction does not apply. What fans report instead is distance from home plate in the Bleachers, and for Monster seats, the fact that the top of the Wall itself cuts off the very base of the left-field wall and warning track below you.
What is reported about these seats
Seat reviews generally rate the Bleachers as structurally clear but far, with the center-field scoreboard and features as part of the backdrop rather than an obstruction. Monster seats are widely described as a unique, close-over-the-wall experience where the playing surface directly beneath the Wall is not visible — a known and expected feature of those seats rather than a defect.
Obstruction at Fenway Park is seat-specific, not section-wide: being a few seats to one side of a column, post or roofline can change the view completely. That is why the notes here describe the pattern an area is known for rather than promising a verdict on any individual seat — and why the last step before buying should always be a seat-specific photo or a direct confirmation from the seller.
Before you buy Bleachers / Monster seats
- Choose Bleacher sections nearer the infield side if you want to balance price against distance.
- Monster seats are priced for the experience; buy them for that, knowing the strip of field at the base of the Wall is out of sight.
- Neither area needs an obstruction discount check — compare listings on distance and angle instead.
